2017 Book Launch Thrived…

THIS YEAR’S BOOK LAUNCH WAS UNIQUE AND VIBRANT, OFFICIAL OPENED BY GCINA MHLOPHE.

SOGIDI PRIMARY – DANCING PENCILS ANNUAL BOOK LUNCH

 

26 learners from Sogidi Primary together with their Principal, Mrs Nokutula Sibisi, the HOD Mrs. Joyce Myeni and another teacher, were present at the BAT Centre on Friday 8th September to launch their 2017 anthology.
The learners were excited to be on stage and to read from their new books. They sang a poem in unison that recorded their joy and their feelings.
This is the fifth year that Sogidi Primary has participated in the annual Dancing Pencils Book Launch. They enjoyed listening to learners read from their new books who came from clubs in other districts.

 

DRAKENSVIEW PRIMARY DANCING PENCILS BOOK LAUNCH

A committed Dancing Pencils Writing Club from Drakensview Primary in Estcourt was present on Friday 8th 2017 to launch their latest anthology of stories. The title of their book is “the Sky is NOT the Limit.”

This club is a regular contributor to the annual dancing pencils book launch. Their mentor and motivator is Ms Stembile Magubane, who trained in 2003 as a right brain mentor to facilitate in schools.  She has been doing this for the past fourteen years.

In addition she runs  a private club called Bubbles Dancing Pencils writing club. In this club she developed her son, Khulekani Magubane, who has just launched his latest novel at the annual Dancing Pencils Book launches.  The novel is called, The Sirius Squad, Earth’s last Defense,” and is a science fiction novel with something different – a local background with the chief character, an African, as an alien … albeit unknown to him.
