Dancing Pencils at the Adams Musgrave Book Launch

On Tuesday 24th April at 5.30 for 6.00 pm, an exciting launch of books will take place at Adams Musgrave. Vera Castleman is launching her new children’s book, How Della met Easter, and a book on Computer Technology. Nemisha Hiraman from the BAT Juniors will be there with her The Lacerate, and with its new sequel, the Vexation.  Fathima Hoosain with her new book, Slices of Life. These teenagers are all from the BAT Junior Dancing Pencils Writing Club. We are also delighted that Thizani from the Office of the Premier will be present to launch their provincial literacy project, their latest anthologies and a new book, KwaZulu-Natal Stories by children and teenagers.  We are delighted the SABC’s UKhozi FM radio will be there, live, to do interviews! A volume of stories has been created from a selection from the 5 anthologies written by rural learners in their very first workshop on right brain creative writing. There are many good stories and of course, the choice is always subjective, but we feel that readers will enjoy dipping into the minds of young people in schools in rural areas.
