Dancing Pencils On The Set

A small Dancing Pencils team is taking a film course to enable it to put videos on youtube.

Their first script starts in an informal settlement with a discontented and dirty orphan who gets help from a kind teacher in getting her life back on track.

We know we will have a great video as we have original township music done by Bonga Zondo to add to it. Here is the team “on the set” shooting the start of the film.

    Hi there Mr Zondo

I’m khethiwe a writer of children books based in mpumalanga. I would love to link with you and get advice how I can be part of the dancing pencils litrecy projects. I have a few books I’ve written for African children. I focus my writing on relevant. Building.historical and modern African stories that the African reader can relate to.read with excitement.find humor.lessons and the importance of what our cultures can still teach us/them. I’ve been involved in literacy for some years and have a couple of writing up my sleeve which I aim to reach children in the townships and rural areas to an extent that they feel that its their own stories being told or published. I believe in revealing and unleashing the creativity, intelligence and opotunity that African real stories have for child development in the worlds education systems. Iam looking for a chance and opportunity myself to contribute to this progressing field of education and litrecy
I’m looking forward to hear from you

Thank you for your enquiry. It’s lovely that you want to do this for the children, however Mr Zondo has moved on and is no longer involved with Dancing Pencils.
