Nkosinathi Mthethwa won first prize in an iSimangaliso Schools competition that asked for a foundation phase reader that helped children to understand the importance of certain animals in the ISimangiliso Wetlands. The frog was selected for Junior School and the Hippo for secondary school.
In December 2010 when Nkosinathi was in grade 11, a proof copy of his book was presented to the MEC at the iSimangaliso prize giving ceremony in St Lucia. Now we are ready to look for sponsors to do a 2000 print run to give to 40 primary schools in the St Lucia Vicinity.
Nkosinathi was interviewed on SABC radio this week. Here he is with his lovely book. He is in his first year at University of KZN. Congratulations Nkosinathi on your achievements!
