Isulubasha Dancing Pencils Writing Club (Nkandla) visited Dancing Pencils today!

After a rift of a number of years, the ISulabasha Dancing Pencils Writing Club is back publishing with UmSinsi Press

S’phelele Khanyile (Club Chairperson), Siyabonga Mbatha (Librarian), Felicity Keats (Founder of Dancing Pencils) and Qiniso Khoza (Poet and Club Member

This morning, 3 of the club mentors again came from Nkandla municipality to present their work for this year’s book launch due to take place on the 8 and 9 of September at the BAT Centre

Originally Arts and Culture met with us and said they would partner us with right brain writing clubs, but this didn’t happen.

It is good if we can heal a rift and work together as there is much we can do for the country and that our community and writing clubs can do for our literacy improvement!

The chairperson came down, in February, from Nkandla for a right brain workshop and went back to inspire his club to write for publication. Dancing Pencils wishes to meet Department of Arts and Culture, Tourism to discuss positive issues that would be great!

We are getting ready for our 2017, 8th and 9th September book launch. BAT Centre is the venue. Your sponsorship is highly appreciated via this link you can donate:  We looking forward delighting rural kids, providing them with appropriate reading materials. Each writing club to be given 50 copies of this year’s book’s launched. Giving kids, kids authored books delights kids. Kids relates to other kids writings.
