Dancing Pencils Writing Clubs are run throughout the various provinces in South Africa. Felicity Keats Morrison penned the writing guide Dancing Pencils (Umsinsi, 1999) and showed her methods of unlocking creativity by using the right brain. Since the book was published, she created the Dancing Pencils Literacy Development Project, a non-governmental and non-profit organisation that helps the disadvantaged schools in South Africa by providing local literature. All the books are written by South African children, teens and adults and published by Keats’ company, Umsinsi Press.
