ISimangaliso’s True Hippo Book Launch

Nkosinathi Mthethwa who won a schools competition for writing a reader for foundation phase that informed children of the role of the hippo as an eco- engineer in the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, launched his book at the SABC Blue Moon Dancing Pencils venue on Sunday 18th November at 5.30 pm.

This lovely evening was graced by his excited family who had travelled down from Mtubatuba to be with Nkosinathi on this special evening. Nonku from the iSimangaliso Wetlands Foundation also came down from St Lucia to speak of the work done by them to inform children, through a schools competition, of their wonderful heritage. Nkosinathi Mthethwa has been interviewed twice on SABC radio, and media were there to interview him.

We are looking for sponsors to help us bring out a 2000 print run of this book to enable 40 rural primary schools in the St Lucia area to each get 50 copies of this book. Any sponsors can email us on: info@dancingpencils.org.za. Thank you
